How we can help: Who we are

Hi! We work with current MIT students to help them learn the basics of budgeting and money management. We look forward to working with you while you’re at MIT.

Erica Aguiar (she/her)

Erica AguiarErica is the associate director for financial education and has been at MIT since October 2021. She is a first-generation college graduate from Tampa, Florida, and developed her love for financial wellness when she was a student. She learned the hard way that budgeting is essential for making your money last!

Erica loves exploring local and affordable food options in the area (always on the hunt for the best Cuban food!), hiking, and saving up to see all the best Broadway shows.

Diana Martinez (she/her)

Diana MartinezDiana is the counselor for financial education and has been at MIT since November 2022. She is a first-generation college student who grew up in Michigan. After graduating from college, she moved to Denver, Colorado, where she learned the importance of saving up and budgeting.

Diana loves reading, obsessing over movies and tv, scoping out sales, and exploring new restaurants.
